This worked for me, i renamed the file, and it seems to use the default configuration. Somebody told me today that Microsoft Management Console was something cool that I should look at. You rock! Under the Processes tab look for mmc.exe process and its CPU usage.

I couldn't seem to edit the file to comment out that section, vista wouldn't let me save it, but it did let me rename it to mmc.exe.config.BAK and sure enough everything I copied over the 6 Fonts from a known good machine, told it not to replace, and it installed the two missing fonts. But, how did the repair install go? These are part of the All Users profile of the computer and located in the Administrative Tools group on the Startup menu.
