f spot database error Golva, North Dakota

Tried to start F-Spot from a terminal. squaregoldfishMay 17th, 2008, 11:08 AMTry launching FSpot from a console (f-spot), and see if anything interesting appears there. This entry was posted in Other OS software and tagged database, F-Spot by Rolf. And you have to take care of escaping the / in the path names.

I'm stuck in a loop that even re-booting doesn't resolve. Andy Reply ↓ Serg on November 16, 2010 at 1:12 pm said: I use DigiKam too. F-Spot So here’s how I did it: Close F-spot and open a Terminal. It's annoying, and there's no particularly easy way to deal with it…untilnow. The script below simply iterates through all of the photos that are in f-spot's database, and checks to see if those photos exist on your hard drive. Trying again... It's usually in ./config/f-spot/. The name was changed (underscores instead of hyphens) to allow the use of squeeze. It uses a sqlite3 database internally to track which pictures you've imported into it, what tags they have, etc.

And I normally use æ or another character unlikely to appear for sed command separation but I didn't know if they'd show up in the comment. Trying again... Then use sqlite3 to extract the information into a text file:
sqlite3 ~/.config/f-spot/photos.db .dump > f-spot.dump

It's also advisable that before reporting a bug you check the output of F-Spot run from command line. Starting new FSpot server Can't get a connection to the dbus. So what's wrong with it? I don't trust Big Brother and been moving away from its products entire 2010. A bug report against this behaviour was filed in 2005, and duplicates of this bug report crop up ever so often, but so far to no avail. See the script for details.
