Porke? =] Sheila says: February 10, 2012 at 2:52 am I love Transmit…it thinks like a Mac. Andre says: February 16, 2010 at 12:00 am Haha! Infuse 4 for the new Apple TV now available! In short i can connect to the ftp site where 3 folders are shown.

Also i can't create any folders at the root level. What does that actually mean in practice? I have no problems uploading the site to any of the individual folders but get an error message when trying to upload to the same level is the 3 folders. I had the exact same problem.

FTP is not working however.FTP is working fine in my local network, but when accessing from the outside I get the following error using Transmit:+*Could not retrieve file listing*.++Server said:++Could not You must login before you can submit an answer. If you know how to use shell access, I just did 'chown -R yourID:YourGroup foldername' Awe shoot... Carl.

I always ended up going back to my PC and using CuteFTP Pro. terms | privacy Search Member List Help Current time: 10-16-2016, 05:02 PM Hello There, Guest! I'm assuming (if that's the name of the root folder) that you can't upload to there? Niyi says: March 2, 2009 at 4:08 pm Thanks! There's a point where the server disk space is nearing capacity and causing the issue. How many files are you transferring at a time?

JJ says: July 25, 2009 at 3:28 am Jonno, name the file htaccess.txt, upload it, then rename it to .htaccess using your FTP client. I was looking for the same thing for months! Some of things you mention don't mean much to me, such as: quiquiloko said: I'm guessing that when i upload the site it need to be loose at this level. temp / php_sessions / php_includes - I'm guessing that when i upload the site it need to be loose at this level.

Can you try using Cyberduck to see if the same issue pops up? Also, JJ's comment for creating an htaccess file helped a lot. Figures it would be under the view menu. I' d always use Filezilla then..

The same error message occurs. Have you checked what your FTP server is and is not permitted to do on your host? This is useful, in some situations, when you are need files to be stored away from public access. JessicaLes says: May 11, 2009 at 1:51 am Nice ! :)..

Thanks! Sorted! That's quite normal, actually. If you provide me your primary domain I'd be happy to look into this further for you.

If so, can you create files and folders in the root folder there? Can you please provide instructions on how I can avoid or fix this issue for the next ones? 02-26-2013, 09:29 PM Post: #6 DH_Elle S DreamHost Staff Posts: 748 Joined: Aug I build for: Firefox and tweak for IE Reply With Quote 08-03-2008,07:17 PM #8 rhsunderground View Profile View Forum Posts Visit Homepage Smartier Than Thou Join Date Dec 2003 Location A Can you log in to the server (through some kind of control panel, such as CPanel)?
