I went down this road already. Still, after refreshing the site, all uploaded pictures appear. It only happens when I upload in a batch. Nothing has changed on my end and I checked all mentioned settings and am all good.

After deleting this entry the gallery works fine and I can upload images without errors and problems. Because i have no intension to compile imagemagic from source i try php5-gd. After our mails I've contact my webhoster because of the se_memory_limit entry. But I still had the problem that there were "Error #2038 (IO)" by uploading images.
