Because the airplane’s navigation sources and sensors are not perfect, a difference, or error, may exist between the estimated, or calculated, airplane position and the actual airplane position. As JasonG said above, in the final analysis, it does not cause a problem as the aircraft still decends and meets the limits stipilated. So I am going to forget about. As for NGX Emergency and the 737's own failure modes, no way.

In my (pitiful) defense, I am a bit of ADD, in that I want to get this stuff all done at once, and as a result, I end up not concentrating I am sure you are correct what with the legs pages being changed from FL390 to FL410 when the plane started the step climb and me trying to change it back The other (better)method is by leaving the step climb at RVSM (or 1000 or 2000) and instead entering a manual STEP climb on the Legs page. I thought going from FL250 to 2000' in one dial-in was kind of strange, but it worked flawlessly.

The book provides detailed descriptions of systems, internal and external components, their locations and functions, together with pilots' notes, a detailed guide to airtesting and technical specifications. As the current path converges to the final path, the ghost pointers move toward their respective scale centers.
