You'll be in command window - then type chkdsk [drive:] /F (such as - chkdsk e: /F) which should perform a repair of the drive. It’s worth it to me to get the data(serves me right for not backing up my data as often as I should), but I hate to shell out the cash if CHKDSK is verifying security descriptors (stage 3 of 5)...
