find set-root bootmgr error 17 file not found Meta, Missouri

With more info it would be possible to either re-add the missing files or create a "temporary" boot floppy/stick/cd in order to boot the system and then fix the remaining issue I tried Bitdefender Tech support and after saying they would call back in within 2 hrs yesterday, still haven't heard a peep from them! This error just popped out of no where with no hardware changes. I'm sorry if my English isn't good enough; I hope that images will speak for myself (even though they're not that good as well). If anyone can help, I will love you forever. Now there are two possible paths, either do everything with grub4dos: Then get from here: http://code.google.c.../downloads/list http://code.google.c...30.zip&can=2&q= And unzip the "fat" file in root of the stick.

After going through the installation I end up with Error 17. It takes just 2 minutes to sign up (and it's free!). Nothing is showing up. Register now!

Yes you just copy the .iso to the mainmenu folder. Also, do not use the restore MBR options. I'm at a loss! When I do put in the install or rescue disc the black screen says "booting GLRDR" and under it has "reseting the boot drive" but then gives me Back to top #15 Wonko the Sane Wonko the Sane The Finder Advanced user 12957 posts Location:The Outside of the Asylum (gate is closed)   Italy Posted 16 June 2013 -

It is not "standard" to have a "hidden FAT partition" with 0x16 as partition ID, and - at least in the other cases the half @§§ed "Vista Loader" created issues with But what happens now "as is" if you choose (in the menu that you posted a screenshot of) the #3 pmagic_2011_12_30.iso (parted magic is another small Linux distro's that may do), Back to top #8 Wonko the Sane Wonko the Sane The Finder Advanced user 12957 posts Location:The Outside of the Asylum (gate is closed)   Italy Posted 16 June 2013 - Would I need to change the BIOS settings?

If you're not already familiar with forums, watch our Welcome Guide to get started. Good luck getting yours working too. I believe I had 2 partitions. I'm at a loss as to what to do.
