how do I fix or f-disk??? At 82% the test stopped with message: Disk has not enough space to replace bad clusters. An inpage operation is performed when any data had been removed from RAM to the swap file and is later needed again. Thank you once again!

This was my last attempt before I was going shopping for a firm that recovers files from failed HDD. I had read that large files (like 80 MB images) have less of a chance of being recovered intact, but the 20+ images we opened were fine. 3. My Hard drive is not accessible and showing Full free space even though i have 460 GB on it out of 500 GB hard drive. Many thanks to you, anonymous.

Since you are hearing a 'crunching noise', I am inclined to agree that you are (if not already) about to experience a total drive crash.
