Please verify it is properly connected to the computer.I am properly connected.I usually don't have my garmin connected to the computer until I am ready to download. meep meep posted: 5/14/2013 at 10:17 PM I switched back to Firefox and now it works.

We both just want to get the Garmin talking to the PC again! Had to reformat the drive and do some other things. That worked perfectly. Hard to tell. :-) If you are: I wrote "Could not find any hidden folders although I configured Windows to display them.".

I have tried all of the above (and some ) to resolve the issue, but to no avail :( I guess Customer Support will be a bit busy Monday morning :) One of them is for the unit firmware, which is the software that provides the menus, map screens and user interface. Communication with the device may continue with reduced functionality. If you're using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to upload from a smartphone, the first thing you'll need to do is jump on your Mac or PC and launch the Garmin Express program.

But when I did the same on the Windows with only SP1, I got files dated 5/12/2009. If it is being seen in mass storage mode, it should be seen as a device on the computer. I also don't know if any of the other Garmin "stand-alone" programs like POI Loader, Map Updater, etc. Now you can find that workout file and upload it manually.

j/k Doug, I don't really take the whole points thing as seriously as you do. Please make sure your device is plugged in and turned on. I've had this problem the last 3 times I've tried to download. I have tested the plug-in at the Garmin page, and it says ok and reads from the 305.

Non of the above worked for me. It seems to me that they should be able to deliver a simple update to overcome the problem. I don't know of any way to stitch the separate rides together.
