You got your's working after taking it apart... I have not been successful in finding a safe manner to grab my lens and pull it out - it is just over an inch and half wide. Add × Loading... You'll need to call Fuji and arrange for a warranty repair through them, as it doesn't sound hopeful the online merchant is going to do much.

The standard "rule of thumb" is if the repair cost is greater than 50% of the value of the camera, it is not worth it. FAQs37.What resolution would you recommend I use? Why does the shake hand warning appear on my LCD screen? I have had this happen 3 times in 18 months. Its been a terrific camera and has worked perfectly until just last week when it came up with the "Zoom Error!" problem in the view finder.

OUTCOME = GOOD ! But now it is stuck in the halfway-out zoom position (lens cover is closed tho) and I am getting the "zoom error" message.
