garageband error while trying to synchronize audio and midi Tylerton, Maryland

I've finally been able to trace it to the I/O Buffer Size in Preferences>General. Not at my computer at the moment, posting from my phone. Another thing I think that helps is to have your interface USB plugged in before you Upload the Garageband program. I went to Focusrite's website and found the free download and it has worked well since.

How can this be, when I just trashed like 10 movies? In order to listen to the changes I had made, I switched the Audio Device to Built-in Output, and forgot to reset it to back to my recording interface, and when share Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Email Link Like + Quote Reply rchip, Dec 10, 2013 rchip thread starter macrumors regular Joined: Jul 26, 2011 #7 It's really embarrassing how My Macbook Pro only has, like, 3 gb of spare memory.

Check conflict between GarageBand and external device' I don't have anything MIDI running I don't think? Increasing buffer size doesn't effect it at all. Just my guitar into the apogee one and the drum track from garage band. When it hits the vocal track it gets worse and grinds to a halt with the error message: Error while trying to synchronize audio and midi sample rate 42690 recognized.

Sometimes this can be a hardware issue, especially if your mac is older than 3 or 4 years old. Most of the time it's just the instrument plugin on the selected track killing 1 of your cpu cores. AU, or Audio Unit, technology is on-topic, but VSTs are off-topic. I am exactly having the same issue: Apogee one into garageband, having more than 5-6 tracks starts crackling sounds. I trashed several movies (and emptied the trash) in an attempt to gain some extra memory, thinking perhaps that's Garageband's problem.
