If you're going to throw everything up in the air and quit, then explain why.

Lazy groidism is rampant. copy vs encode wouldn't make a difference to the mapping, if that's what you mean. Unless you really want different encoding parameters, decoding and reencoding will compound the loss of quality inherent in whatever codec you are using, quite apart from taking a When played (xine), I see dropped and duplicate frame messages.

I wondered if it was related to "grody", which I haven't heard in over a decade, but apparently not. > It's called testing. I worked on that crap from version 0.1 in 1981 until the late '80s and what I'm seeing in the Linux community now feels like we're going exactly the same way. Groids. This is how MS works. i'm generally interested in shitty files for samples, so you could upload it if you liked too. And second, the input streams do equal the output streams. meaning it works, which is a big difference from something non-working.

If yes, there should be noproblems, and you should be able to use the input PTS and DTS for theoutput. In the original email, you wrote that you got the "error, non In thiscase I use the saved pts instead and the packet's pts will be saved then.I'll give it a try. I simplydidn't pass them before and let libavformat calculate them for me. If the file is an AVI (as it always has been), it plays OK because the interleaving forces the audio and video to stay in pretty good sync, but the messed

Therefore the source file plays fine indifferent media players including those using ffmpeg and CoreAVC libraries. My first try was to emulate the timestamps with linearly ascending values. Thisresulted in a playable but asynchronous file. The second try used the AVFMT_NOTIMESTAMPS flag of the AVFormatContext. mplayer keeps telling me that it is switching between 30 and 25 fps, although the source is all 30 fps. What is your full command line and console output?

THAT is something that is not a solution. Overwrite ? Oh, might want to sit down. If you don't want to put the work in to give us a bit of context, that's fine, but then you can hardly expect the rest of us to God knows... (aka Michael Niedermayer in this context) much of understanding ffmpeg, means undersanding c, and audiovisual internals. But you'd rather have the program fail so that you KNOW there was a glitch of no consequence in the source.

Actually, I'm working on compiling my own but I need to figure out what I want to enable. probably. Can the AVFMT_TS_NONSTRICT flag also be applied to the mp4/mov container formats? This is sooooo typical.

i forgot to mention that last time. I am preparing to do a little work that will include a lot of copying the stream data directly via the "-vcodec/acodec/scodec copy" command in ffmpeg. Well, it's a solution, but it's a remarkably poor one. this the first mention of them.

In thiscase I use the saved pts instead and the packet's pts will be saved then.I'll give it a try. As a result of the input stream pts' mess the calculated dts fromlibavformat where doubled sometimes.Post by Luca AbeniThe problem you are seeing seems to be that the mpegts demuxer seems I suppose maybe it doesn't matter, it just seems a little odd.
