If I focus on anything, it shows an autofocus (AF!) error and if I take the picture it comes out unfocused (blurry). Very recently I tried to use my camera and as soon as I turned it on it read on the screen that there was a FOCUS ERROR.

My cam doesn't have manual focus. That means the camera is done. After you have done that and it all fails then you can look into bringing it to a local camera shop to perhaps see if you can pay to have it I lightly pressed down on the lens (not the plastic covering) on all 4 sides and worked perfectly normally.
