fcp 7 no movie in file error Little Deer Isle, Maine

But how could it be that one can successfully export something which is corrupted? So I assume rendering is not the problem…it's during saving the MP4. Sign up for Larry’s FREE Weekly Newsletters. the gal i'm working with is the one that bought the drive.

Also, you may need to uninstall plugins. Also, read this trouble-shooting article: http://www.larryjordan.biz/five-step-trouble-shoot/LarryReplyBryan says:June 19, 2014 at 5:39 pmLarry, I have been editing my latest independent film for the last six months. Technical - HVX200/HPX170 Hardware - HVX200/HPX170 Workflow Screen Grabs / Footage - HVX200 Screen Grabs / Footage - HPX170 HMC Cams Technical - HMC150 HMC40/80 HMC40/80 Footage / Stills Workflow - BUT…as I said, the error would pop up on clips that worked fine when I exported the small section, but then didn't when I tried them as a one BIG export. Looks like I have more searching to do.

Shane said "I simply opened in FCP 7 and exported from there and had ZERO issues."… I wish I knew what you did to fix it to go from his earlier Screen Grabs/Clips of HPX500 Footage HDSLRs Panasonic GH Cameras GH Workflow GH Hardware, Lenses, etc. I have never gotten either of these messages before, now I am seeing them both all on this same project. I cannot SAVE.

I've searched for this error on 6 different forums and can't find anything. The timeline at the bottom only showed 23 frames per second but going into the clip properties I found it was 23.98. Set an In and Out in the Timeline for the first third of the movie and export that as File > Export > QuickTime movie. If that works, output the next third,Then Same error.

Render files are stored by project, not media. A clip changes color when it is disabled.2. The BLACK FRAMES from the COLOR RENDER were somehow illegal. So somehow, in some way, that clip was corrupt. I'm running FCP (6 with all updates online), on a MacBook 2 GHz intel core 2 duo, with Mac OS X (v 10.5.8). Finally figured out that the 'File Directory' on the external hard drive had been corrupted.

From that you will compress whatever files you need for distribution. Did you try exporting out an XML and bringing that into a new project? Zwick, Sorry about that, i thought I put that in the sig or profile when signing up. There is a quality loss this way.

I made the mistake of deleting the render files to re-render everything and try again, thinking the render files were corrupted. What was interesting to note though, is that one of the sequence render files was not showing up in the render manager and so I had to manually track down the If you suspect you have corrupted audio clips: make them offline and try relinking.

Maybe I'm missing a step during the disconnect process that happened during the FCP crash?

I had the same error message and I found this blog looking to see if anyone else had a similar problem. Created a movie, which plays fine in the timeline. The rendering tips will come in handy. Can anyone advise me what else to do? I know I'll be moving to Premier but I was hoping to do it AFTER helping my current clients.

Remember, FCP 7 will run on OS X 10.9, but most plug-ins won't.If possible, run FCP 7 on OS X 10.8 or earlier. it reset the preferences but i did that manually as well. this is my first time using magic bullet, do you think that could be causing the general error??
