I uninstalled all the drivers (while in device manager, make sure view|'show hidden devices' is checked), downloaded HTC Sync Manager (http://www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager/) and installed it.

Look for the "version-main: x.xx.xxx.x". OKAY [ 1.346s] writing 'recovery'... The problem was that it was locked again which prevented the custom ROM I had on there from booting. HELP!!
