Since doing all of the above, I have not had any reports of problems, from my customers. kevinhughes2 wrote: Ports open on the client firewall?Yes, both incoming and outgoing to port 8530. 0 Mace OP Gabrielle.L Jan 4, 2015 at 10:27 UTC This blog post My only guess is that MS is somehow and for some reason keeping some sort of dated reverse DNS log and directing windows update to use a proxy on that host. You should be seeing your server URL listed before the period and error number. This policy is paired with WUServer; both must be set to the same value in order for them to be valid. But you can still keep the Windows firewall on (in Control Panel) and no problem.

This PC is showing up in the domain and is in the right group, however it is not showing up on the WSUS Console even though it has been configured to I would check that the drivers for Display card, Ethernet card are up to date.

Cause: This can be caused if an incorrect WSUS server name (FQDN) is used. I was hoping to see if anyone might have come across the same issues and what resolutions worked for them. The website and Automatic Update may not function properly. Enjoy!
