FCP 4.5 is so old it predates Apple Intermediate Code, ProRes and HDV. Yes No Sorry, something has gone wrong. Each time I try to import the file I'm working with, the following error pops up: File error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown. If the file is really small you made a reference movie, then deleted one of the referenced files.

Should none of that work, you can try using the program MPEGStreamclip to convert the video files to another file format (ProRes, if possible). What a step backwards. Try importing just the MP4s one at a time. I didn't try the others because (a.) I don't own a camera, and (b.) I have no idea of what "Anamorphic Basic" means.

Does anyone have this problem, or know what might be causing it? It works again. QuickTime files have stayed relatively constant throughout the years and even 10-year-old QuickTime files should import with no problems. I am thinking that it must be either a minor thing I am overlooking or something is wrong with some settings somewhere. You could try backing up your preferences, then trashing them.
