So, how many of you have SP2 for XP, and did this problem appear before or after it was installed, in my case, after. My problem is ocurring on an IBM server with dual HD's running in RAID 1.

So i have no clue if it is drive D or C that's giving me hell!!! Any idea regarding this ? There's only Ava Find that keeps an eye out and records filename changes as they occur.It might be some Windows service/utility ( I have the Windows installation CD stored on D: I also set to specific sizes and 'system managed' - error still present.

See ME830051 for a hotfix. The data verification did freeze near 97%, and after 3 minutes I aborted the process and the event log reported this warning. Yes I do have a D drive which is an older slower drive which gets used frequently for data. How can this warning be resolved?

The day this all started I was having problems getting my DVD burner to go without freezing the whole system so had to use the reset button a lot .
