'/omega.inc'; } at this point, sites/all/themes/omega-two/omega/includes/omega.inc has been included, and therefore omega_theme_get_setting() is defined.

There is no Omega Tools or Omega 3.x in that installation. Maybe Omega Tools/Omega 3.x is still in there. I think it would be wise to point out that using such if() conditions is only wise for debug purposes, and that only if you have good organisational skills. Your fix for MAMP was my issue. If we add this code below the function declaration, it will display the result of the addition: echo add (2, 3); /* Displays the number 5 */ So far, so good. php include share|improve this question edited Sep 20 at 8:27 Tazo Todua 14k66866 asked Dec 23 '09 at 16:34 fishman 1951212 add a comment| 13 Answers 13 active oldest votes up Most developers know enough to give their functions unique names so they won't collide with other people's code.

They don't want to mess with that other coder's logic, and don't know where the problem is. Why germinate seeds outside of soil? Object related methods are mostly better but using static methods enables you to reuse a method name in many classes. So the problem must be on my local server.

That should avoid most collisions, and the more verbose you are, the better a chance it would have. Re: #36 I still have the issue that drush is not working at all with Omega enabled but - Haven't been using Omega Tools - Do not have more than one The problem in my case was really really annoying, a total WTF: In the Terminal, it's not the same to write "cd mamp" as "cd MAMP". The Problem When you put a function like the one below in your PHP code, you are 'declaring' it.

Thbings to check on line Z … Normally you'll have at least where the code crashed by line, With sound php knowledge (not my case) you can stuff the bug in There may be another issue why "drush dl omega" didn't work. (I haven't looked here). So, what's your Version of MAMP and PHP? This fixes the problem.

That's why when you run sudo things work because your'e running as super user. Fatal error: Call to undefined function Fatal error: Call to undefined function: form_*() on Drupal 4.7 Fatal error: Cannot redeclare blah_function() in ../modules/blah.modulePossible Cause: A function got declared inside of another In my case there is no Omega 3.x in any subsite, because it's a clean installation with only Omega 4.x and a Omega subtheme installed at site/all/themes. I see you've written a new article, and well-written it is.

We can't do anything about this on the Omega side though. For example, our add() function could be named addIntegers() to help prevent collisions. I can't reproduce it at all.

To sum up: wrapping redeclarations in if() statements makes the code harder to debug and doesn't actually solve the underlying problems. I do however have a few points I'd like to dispute. 7 months, 2 weeks ago As a side-note -- a thought to consider for why PHP raises an error for a function definition that I'm not sure I would have thought of doing this. :) 1 year ago Good tip. Sorry, that was unclear.

It's also possible to clean caches from there. So... Has to be. What you can do shemzone, is contact him, and maybe make a team with him to work on that plugin on a long term partnership.
