I really have no idea. You could for example, only allow SSH from anywhere but limit others to only internal networks. However, the server (and this is happening to about 10 different FreePBX VMs) is still sending these emails. One of the reasons I was wanting to build this is because I wanted to learn more about running this on a real server.

Depending on if you’ve overridden the username/password combination you might need to pass switches “mysql –u root –p” or some combination to login. Having said that, if you want this run each time your server boots, just issue these commands to add it to the rc.local file ABOVE the exit 0 final line. If you happen to know the fix to this, I am much obliged. Hoping for some guide/help in resolving the issue.

Able to select databases and select * from tables within those databases as either user. Here's what I get:
[[email protected] etc]# service mysqld restart
Stopping mysqld: [ OK ]
Another MySQL daemon already running with the same unix socket.
Starting mysqld: [FAILED]
Tried stopping mysqld and starting as separate The difference is the user being root and asterisk. So far so good. #18 atsak, May 11, 2014 wardmundy likes this.

You also need to be sure there is no /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid if you have an abrupt power failure. That this tanked the pbx makes me nervous. in each line. One an older dell with real HD (home).

dugma78 2014-01-28 13:28:46 UTC #14 Got most recent stable version of FreePBX (Stable-5.211.65-5) mostly set up yesterday. At my site I need to replace battery. I have had this happen as well. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm pretty knowledgeable about it once it's up and running but getting it to that point is something I've never done myself before.I'm thinking I'm missing something in the guide provided Learn More. But I agree and said before this should be in the distro. The answer is don't do that. We could offer more details if we knew what Distro and Version of things you are running.

Let us know how far you've come... In my case, I'm running a system at home and do have a battery backup with about 30 minutes of reserve, enough for the most common outages. But it is quite likely there is some data corruption on your card. You can use them with the backup and restore module to restore your settings, just in case you have to flash the card again with a new image.

I'll not always be around to clean up after an outage. Complete accident when it happened. Will this cause any other problems. Passwords don't change on their own, someone had to do something on the system.

I am on :PBX Firmware: 5.211.65-6PBX Service Pack: 1.0.0.0I just need to stop this from happening every time the box powers off unexpectedly.Any ideas of what I can do to avoid Entering the domain will still get the http interface. MySQL appears to be running; I appear to be able to stop it successfully; but whenever I try to start it, it says it's already running. Sorry. #20 wardmundy, May 18, 2014 (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next > Share This Page

You can try service mysqld start as well then log in /var/log/messages to see if you can figure out why it isn't starting or which table is corrupt.
