Thanks again. On a whim I downloaded the MS Windows Install Cleanup utility from the support MS site and ran it. If we have ever helped you in the past, please consider helping us. Use something like HiJack this and take out any MS Office Reg Keys.

I'm not overly... If anybody knows anything about this and can offer some advice I would be greatly appreciative. If I cancel the "Install feature" window, the program starts immediately after that. But for now, I would like to figure out how I can get my computer to work and open Excel files.

What I have found is by cancelling the installer several times it will eventually open the program you ask for! I noticed that once I removed the Windows Installer for Office using msicuu2.exe, Office is no longer listed in the 'Add/Remove Programs', but it still appears in 'C:\Program Files\'.
