I've been trying all these solutions but none have been working for my Samsung NV9 Digital Camera. I tried with three different cards and they all stay in and the compartment door closes fine. Sorry!!!!Its the yellow thingy... However, the other night I popped the sd card into my computer and deleted some photos/saved some on my computer. It worked like a charm (used a tiny hard stick from a fruit tree had no toothpicks but couldn't wait) that made sense to me as I could hear it when Cards were never meant for long-term storage. Flash memory cards do not last forever, and after a certain number of writes, they will fail.
