I'm going to stick with my original FSX. I never realized something like that would be picked-up as a character but apparently it does. I added the appropriate lines into the fs9.cfg file as follows: [OLDMODULES} FSSound.dll=1 but I'm still getting the error message about an incompatible file when I load FS9. I have had that error message come up in the past ,and put the gauge Sound file dll in the main fs9 folder and that fixed it. I made sure the little section was posted at the end of a segment, somewhere in the middle of the cfg, although I don't suppose that means anything.
