How exactly are you trying to format the C drive? It got to 51% complete and seemed to hang. If that doesn't work, just do a google on something similar. Please help me with this task, I know you can solve my problem with just a few comments.

My hard drive was split so it has a c drive and a d drive. You might try booting into safe mode and trying the format. Can I send all my stuff that I have on c to my d drive and then format c?
