If you could explain the file creation error part, that would be great!Secondly, this copy process has been going for about 8 hours now, and it's not even half done, because I was trying to use a CoolMax CD-350-combo and COMODO (and others) to no avail. Lately we've been getting issues creating the backups, especially on two of the very large databases (450 GB and 500 GB).The error that I see (among others) is the following:Operating system File record segment 5 is unreadable. There was something wrong with the partition that prevented Windows from being able to use the partition. The corrupted system files entries can be a real threat to the well being of your computer.

I had, like so many others, a failing disk and was able to recover stuff by using the command. ectogamit says: August 9, 2010 at 9:23 pm using /r will try to recover your data so your data should be recovered if it can be with this method. /r will by R. The reason is that network IO can have latencies and cause issues.

I stick with it if you will. When I plugged the HD into my own laptop I got the same message and the HD will not open to show my folders although it is there.
