Your post was right on the money! For example, if you connect 100 target computers to a single host computer, you can assign port 50000 to the first connection, port 50001 to the second connection, port 50002 to ZIP the files to fit into Trac. Network cable is inexpensive and readily available.

WinDbg then says: ----------------------------------------------------- Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.11.0001.404 X86 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. You can't delete the video driver files because the registry is corrupt and this precludes removing the driver using normal means. The error code is 2755. I then made a new cat file(guess i have to do it-since i have changed the inf file) Signed the cat fil to my certificate.

The following is the relevant MSI LOG file extract: Action 09:48:58: MsiInstallDrivers. A missing USB.inf was the culprit - copied from another machine and all now working. Rank: 0x00008001. Installation (failed) log file Untitled-1.jpg (37.3 KB) - added by aquadrop 7 years ago.

Have a look at http://itninja.com/question/how-do-you-roll-out-new-machines?0827 for more details. Un-check all of the "DIFxApp Installation Options", this will set the Flags column to 7 in the MsiDriverPackages table. I'll then send you a link to a new test version containing a fix for the issue. I have the cert in Execute Defered and the msi drivers are in Execute Immediate. comment:64 Changed 8 years ago by staro Hi all, 2.1.2 still fails installation on wife's laptop. Hope that helps. So I started WinDbg and initiated kernel debugging over USB. Please help me.

You may be in a loop: The file attributes may be set to not allow removal because of the corrupt registry. mankind 23 April 2007 10:51:33 I am having major non-video problems now... DIFXAPP: 'CustomActionData' property 'installState' is 2. For the installation of the 2.1.4, it's the same problem.

Inf2Cat.exe /driver:"" /os:XP_X86 /verbose Step-by-Step Guide to Device Driver Signing and Staging Authenticode will work on Windows XP even it Microsoft not state this. Enter the following command, where w.x.y.z is the IP address of the host computer, and n is your port number, and Key is your key: bcdedit /dbgsettings net hostip:w.x.y.z port:n key:Key I'm not sure if that did the trick, or accidentally installing WinUSB using a different setup in my INF file earlier. Reply David Lynch Posted November 10, 2014 at 12:29 pm | Permalink I hit this same issue with Windows 7 x64, the C:/Windows/inf/usb.inf was simply missing. Thank you. I have no other active AV/Antispyware (except windows defender I guess). Im doing this from home now so the hardware is plugged in, not sure if that can be problem And by the way if we solve this im not the hero-y

Changed 8 years ago by skin27 attachment vb-2.1.4_installation.zip added comment:88 follow-up: ↓ 89 Changed 8 years ago by skin27 VB installs correctly until 2.06. I did move the cert install to the Execute Deferred but it fails the install stating that the driver couldn't be verified. Be careful when fooling around in the system registry. Reply Dan Savilonis Posted November 14, 2010 at 6:44 pm | Permalink I doubt that Windows deleted it.

comment:54 Changed 8 years ago by dtanderson I just tried version 2.1.2 and it installed fine for me. After deleting it (explorer with admin rights) and creating it again, all installed fine. At which point my 3.02 install was now borked.
