Fred at 12:49am on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 I didn't experience any problems like this during my review, but then I did only have the camera for a couple of weeks. This camera is just six months old. I ordered it online and e-mailed the seller, but am not too optimistic they will exchange it for a new one. (I am now wishing I had paid a little extra Do you think it's even worth repairing? That's not enough to prove the benefit, but it can't have hurt, either.

Thanks for the feedback...I'll keep you posted. Food for thought.... thats it. Is this a fixable problem that Fugi can correct?

I am going to try to return the camera to see what they can do for me, but based on comments here I'm not very hopeful. Very disappointing experience for a brand new camera. it didn't. Stuff the cost, its corrupt to feed a company making money off their faults.

i believe her card failure was also after the batteries ran out - i think we tied it to the fact that we used regular batteries after our rechargeables ran on It happened after I had cleaned the lens - I switched the camera off by opening the battery hatch whilst doing so. Not wanting to go through the hassle with Fuji again I Googled for a fix and found this solution. The zoom error happened again tonite.

I'm keeping all body parts crossed in the hopes that nothing else will go wrong, because I really do love this camera... Downloaded it onto PC. This should take care of the problem. Have bought a new battery and tried using it plugged into the mains still get the problem.

It's been in lock-down for 8 months, until I realised an associate works for fuji. I've seen from a few other posts at various websites (one here from 12/7 under "which camera to buy") that mycamera may not be just an isolated lemon. So, anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks, my guess. Sent back to Fuji who looked at it "nothing wrong" was their reply.
