I've tried this config and ip is written to xenstore: /local/domain/0/backend/vif/6/0/ip = "" (n0,r6) >> If this is not a (known) bug or a general issue, I will provide some >> BR Filipe fmanco closed this Mar 2, 2015 Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. In the meantime the obvious workaround would be to create vif-route-bond0 as a simple wrapper around vif-route. > 2) from domU config: > vif = [ 'mac=de:ad:a:1e:42:3,ip=', > 'mac=ba:cc:7f:0:4:1,bridge=backupbr0,script=vif-bridge'] > > However, when I was trying to run the ClickOS as a DomU VM, I got errors.

There's another one in main_networkattach but that is the hotplug (xl network-attach) case (yes, these should be consolidated...).

To debug this I would add near the top of vif-route something like: exec 1>>/tmp/vif-route.log exec 2>&1 echo "$0 [email protected] at `date` set -x and then try it and look and I can see the code which reads it in the hotplug > script. Please let me know if you need more information. It should be visibile under via ifconfig.Have a look at brctl to do it manually or use netctl for a service file.

Here the vif-route.log file's content, do you see anything useful? /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route online type_if=vif at ven 26 ott 2012, 14.14.23, CEST ++ dirname /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route + dir=/etc/xen/scripts + . /etc/xen/scripts/ +++ dirname /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route Look for "ip" (with the quotes) in tools/libxl/xl_cmdimpl.c parse_config_data. Best regards Filipe shashibici commented Mar 2, 2015 Thank you so much for your comment, Filipe. Your errors indicate you are using "xl" but looks like you are changing "xend" config files.

It seems that 1) in xl.conf you cannot pass a parameter to vif-route like vifscript="vif-route netdev=bond0" any more, as /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route netdev=bond0 cannot be executed (error in xl log).
